Heart of the Rockies Initiative Carnivore Conflict Reduction Efforts in the News

Heart of the Rockies Initiative’s ongoing work to support essential Carnivore Conflict Reduction efforts in our region are focused on maintaining producer viability and ensuring wildlife has the space it needs to survive. It’s work that is very much a collaborative effort, says Policy Director Nate Owens.

“Thanks to all of our partners who are helping to address the challenges that come with sharing landscapes with bears and wolves. Practices like range riding, carcass management, and electric fencing can help reduce conflicts, and with significant investments of funding, more producers can receive support for stewarding the wildlife that so many of us care about.”
