Whitfield honored with LTA Award

Michael Whitfield received the Land Trust Alliance’s Kingsbury Browne Conservation Leadership Award & Fellowship during Rally 2018: The National Land Conservation Conference in Pittsburgh. The award is presented to an individual whose vision and creativity have resulted in extraordinary accomplishments for land conservation and the land trust community, and Michael coordinated the Heart of the Rockies Initiative to expedite private land conservation in the West.

The annual fellowship program associated with this award was created by The Lincoln Institute of Land Policy. The program is administered by the Lincoln Institute’s Department of Planning and Urban Form, and supports research, writing and mentoring activities.
